Flight training

From the first time you take the controls to the ratings that open a career, our training meets you where you are and takes you as far as you want to go.

Every Rating. One Road. We Fly It With You.

Discovery Flight — Start Here

This is the one. You in the left seat, an instructor beside you, hands on the controls, wheels off the ground. No commitment, no experience needed, just you finding out what it feels like to actually fly.

Most people know within the first five minutes. This is where the journey begins.

What is it exactly?

A real flight with a certified instructor, hands-on time at the controls, and a straight-talk conversation about what your training path could look like.

Ground School

Great flying starts on the ground. Our ground school builds the knowledge behind the stick: aerodynamics, weather, regulations, navigation, and everything the FAA written exam will ask of you.

Whether you learn best in a classroom rhythm or at your own pace, we make sure the "why" behind every maneuver clicks before you ever need it in the air.

Private Pilot Certificate

The foundation of everything. Your Private Pilot Certificate lets you fly, carry passengers, and go places under your own command. This is where you become a pilot in the truest sense.

We take you through the ground knowledge, the flight skills, and the confidence to pass your checkride and keep flying safely for life.

You'll learn: Aircraft control and maneuvers, takeoffs and landings, navigation, airspace and communications, emergency procedures, and cross-country flying.

Instrument Rating

This is the rating that separates fair-weather flyers from serious pilots. An Instrument Rating trains you to fly by the instruments alone, in the clouds, in weather that keeps other pilots on the ground.

It sharpens everything. Your precision, your decision-making, your confidence. And it is a critical step on the road to advanced ratings and the flight deck.

You'll learn: Instrument flight procedures, approaches, precision navigation, flying in the clouds, and advanced aeronautical decision-making.

… And Beyond

Private and Instrument are the beginning, not the finish line. As your skills and hours build, the road keeps going toward commercial flying, advanced ratings, and ultimately the flight deck of a jet. Tell us your goal and we will help you map the whole route.

Train on Your Schedule

We schedule and manage training through Flight Circle, so booking lessons, tracking your progress, and staying on top of your training is simple from any device. Consistency is the secret to progress, and we make it easy to keep flying.

Getting Started Is the Hardest Part. So Let's Make It Easy.

You do not need experience, a fancy background, or all the answers. You need one flight and the willingness to show up. Here is exactly how it works.

Everything You Need once you’re hooked

What to Bring (and What to Buy)

You do not need much to start, and you definitely do not need to spend a fortune before your first lesson. A couple of things are worth getting right, though.

Your Headset

A good headset is the one piece of gear worth investing in early. We recommend Bose. The comfort, the noise reduction, and the clarity make a real difference on every flight, and a quality headset lasts for years.

Your Sunglasses

Get a solid pair of sunglasses, but here is the one rule that trips people up: do not get polarized lenses. Polarized sunglasses can black out the glass cockpit displays and interfere with reading your instruments. Non-polarized is the way to go for pilots.

The Rest

We will point you to the logbook, study materials, and anything else you need as you go. No need to buy it all up front.

How Scheduling Works

We run scheduling through Flight Circle, an easy online system for booking lessons and aircraft. Once you are set up, you can book, reschedule, and track your training from your phone or computer. Consistency is the fastest way to progress, and Flight Circle makes it simple to keep your lessons on the calendar.

We Keep You on Track

Life gets busy, and aviation has its share of dates to keep an eye on. We help you stay current and on schedule, including timely reminders around key milestones and currency windows, so nothing important slips through the cracks.

Your First Lesson

Show up a little early, dress comfortably, and bring your curiosity. Your instructor will walk you through the airplane, get you settled in the cockpit, and yes, put your hands on the controls. There is no such thing as a dumb question here. Come ready to learn and ready to have fun.

Still Have Questions?

Good. That means you are taking it seriously. Whether it is cost, time, medical requirements, or just “am I even cut out for this," we would rather talk it through than have you talk yourself out of it.
